    * Intermediate working knowledge of relational databases, and SCADA applications.
    * Familiarity with industry recognized PLC equipment including but not limited to Schweitzer Engineering RTAC Platform, Allen Bradley Control / CompactLogix platform, GE / Emerson RX3i, or similar “named variable” PLC environments.
    * Familiar with the installation and commissioning of SCADA networks using; Fiber Optics, Serial RS-232 / RS-485, and Ethernet TCP/IP.
    * Strong knowledge of industrial automation protocols including but not limited to; Modbus RTU/TCP, DNP3, OPC UA and DA.

    In these roles, you will be travelling throughout the region to work on jobs related to infrastructure projects including landfills, airports, site development, and many others.

    Sargent is an employee owned earthwork construction company that traces our beginning to 1926 in Alton, Maine. Today, with a team of over 425 employees work in seven states, specializing in commercial, industrial and institutional site preparation, landfill construction, utility projects and airports.





    Provides overall on-site administrative and technical management on a construction project site, including the scheduling, coordination, supervision and safe work practices for all project activities, including Sargent and subcontractor personnel.




    * Supervise construction efforts to ensure the project is constructed in accordance with the design, budget and schedule constraints. Includes interfacing with the client, client representatives, inspectors, governmental oversight officials, other contractors, suppliers and field staff.
    * Effectively plan, direct and supervise workers engaged in construction activities.
    * Follow all OSHA and company safety policies.
    * Create and reinforce a culture of safety that creates no questions as to how an item should be done.
    * Provide safety feedback and coaching to foreman and crews.
    * Ensure all subcontractors are following company safety policies.
    * Maintain a constant awareness of all onsite safety hazards.

    * Manage subcontractors and provide feedback on subcontractor performance.
    * Coordinate assigned work with work of different crews, company departments and other contractors.
    * Create and reinforce a culture of quality work. Conduct and document quality control inspections.
    * Investigate incidents and accidents and document the findings.
    * Conduct evaluations of all employees supervised for more than 200 hours in a season.
    * Represent Sargent Corporation in a positive manner in the community and to clients.
    * Properly document the project. Maintain project quantity book and requisition quantity records.
    * Record actual hours worked by reviewing and submitting time cards and other required documentation.
    * Identify and develop field talent and mentor potential replacements for your position.

    DESIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:


    * Minimum High School Diploma or GED. Four year Engineering or Construction Management degree preferred; or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.

    Our team is looking to add a **Housekeeper** to be responsible for the overall cleanliness of the hotel, ensuring guest satisfaction, and meeting product quality standards.

    * Provide basic housekeeping duties including changing the sheets, changing and arranging the towels, restocking toilet supplies, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning, and rearranging the room after guests check out
    * Ensure all rooms are cared for according to brand and IHM standards
    * Notify supervisors of any damages, deficits, and/or disturbances

    The Physical Oceanography Lab at GMRI is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Scientist to advance research on coastal and shelf ocean processes and their role in biogeochemical variability and climate change. This position sits at the interface of physical oceanography, biogeochemistry, and climate science, with a focus on understanding and predicting ocean carbon cycling, oxygen dynamics, and climate-driven ocean change in the Northwest Atlantic and the Gulf of Maine.

    The successful candidate will develop and apply quantitative approaches to analyze large observational datasets, regional ocean model outputs, and climate simulations. The role emphasizes translating scientific understanding into insights relevant to ecosystem variability and marine resource management, in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

    This is an early-career position designed for candidates who are motivated to develop independence in research, build proposal-writing experience, and contribute to interdisciplinary ocean science.
