‘Shut up, support women’: Michelle Obama’s ‘insulting’ anti-men remarks slammed

Newsweek’s Deputy Opinion Editor Batya Ungar-Sargon has reacted to former first lady of the United States Michelle Obama appearing to lecture men at a rally in Michigan.

“It’s so amazing, I mean can you imagine asking for somebody’s vote by telling them your only role here is to shut up and become subservient to some other group,” she told Sky News host Rita Panahi.

“That’s insulting enough on its own.

“They’re telling them, ‘shut up, support women, or we will call you sexist and racist’.”
