AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.

You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.

Amazon Web Services is looking for Software Development Engineers to develop state of the art Linux based networking platforms. You will join a team of engineers developing embedded routing platforms that enable one of the world's largest and complex networks.

We are seeking engineers with a demonstrated track record of designing and implementing Linux-based solutions on embedded devices, ideally for networking products. We want people who are passionate about changing the way data center networking is done.

Plenty of complexity and scope for your next challenge! Why would you want to work on network devices for Amazon?

    Key job responsibilities

You like to get stuff done and solve complex, impactful problems.

AWS develops both the network and the devices, allowing us to innovate in a way that others cannot.

Amazon’s network is global in scope and it continues to grow: most of the network runs on our switches and we continue to expand our footprint.

Very large impact: these devices are central to Amazon.com (http://amazon.com/), AWS and more AWS customers.

    A day in the life

There are two main components to forwarding the Linux Kernel and it’s constructs for L2/L3 forwarding and management, and the underlying hardware.

Our goal is to have the Kernel state and the hardware state mirror one another, and as such we need people that have expertise in Linux kernel and core networking expertise. Ideally you understand both how Linux manages forwarding as well as how that maps to the underlying forwarding hardware.

    About the team

We are the Data Plane team and are split between Cupertino and Seattle and are looking to expand in either site. Our team owns packet forwarding in our networking devices; that is, the core functionality of a networking switch.

    Why AWS

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform. We pioneered cloud computing and never stopped innovating — that’s why customers from the most successful startups to Global 500 companies trust our robust suite of products and services to power their businesses.

    Diverse Experiences

Amazon values diverse experiences. Even if you do not meet all of the preferred qualifications and skills listed in the job description, we encourage candidates to apply. If your career is just starting, hasn’t followed a traditional path, or includes alternative experiences, don’t let it stop you from applying.

    Work/Life Balance

We value work-life harmony. Achieving success at work should never come at the expense of sacrifices at home, which is why we strive for flexibility as part of our working culture. When we feel supported in the workplace and at home, there’s nothing we can’t achieve in the cloud.

    Inclusive Team Culture

Here at AWS, it’s in our nature to learn and be curious. Our employee-led affinity groups foster a culture of inclusion that empower us to be proud of our differences. Ongoing events and learning experiences, including our Conversations on Race and Ethnicity (CORE) and AmazeCon conferences, inspire us to never stop embracing our uniqueness.

    Mentorship and Career Growth

We’re continuously raising our performance bar as we strive to become Earth’s Best Employer. That’s why you’ll find endless knowledge-sharing, mentorship and other career-advancing resources here to help you develop into a better-rounded professional.

Join a diverse, dynamic, and enthusiastic team of environmental compliance professionals who play a leading role in air quality permitting and compliance at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where we have a history of leading the world in innovative technologies and services. As a member of the Air Permitting team, you will support environmental programs aimed at ensuring compliance with air quality regulations and standards in the Americas while also enabling AWS's growth around the world.

We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we're looking for talented people who want to help. You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll build software solutions to manage infrastructure needed to operate systems at large scale, owning root cause determination and remediation of issues in partnership with internal software, hardware, and networking development teams. Your deep knowledge of networking design will enable you to build systems around network constraints, with experience in building highly available networks and understanding network security principles and security technologies.

As an operational leader, you'll be sought after for a wide range of impacting events across systems, able to clearly and crisply communicate customer and business impacting events to leadership while providing expertise to resolve impacts. You'll dive deep into ambiguous problems and write code/software to eliminate risks at high scale, providing guidance to system or service owners through operational reviews to identify anti-patterns with detailed examples to prevent production impact.

You'll develop new patterns needed for unique system implementations and establish requirements for other technical teams necessary to meet performance, reliability, or cost goals. Your role extends to mentoring and providing guidance through software designs and code reviews, performing deep level risk analysis, and driving operational excellence across the organization.

Working cross-functionally, you'll partner with Facilities Infrastructure teams on physical network infrastructure requirements, collaborate with Corp IT on enterprise network standards and security policies, and engage with security teams to ensure network architecture meets compliance and security requirements. 1. NVIDIA New AI Is An Efficiency Monster — Thursday 14 May 2026
    2. NVIDIA's latest AI breakthrough is drawing attention for its remarkable energy efficiency, a development that could reshape how industries approach high-performance computing. In a recent analysis, tech commentator Matthew Berman highlights a new model that delivers strong results while using far less power than previous generations. The accompanying research paper details optimizations that cut energy demands without sacrificing accuracy or speed, making advanced AI more practical for widespread use.

For Japan, where data centers and manufacturing already consume significant electricity, this kind of efficiency gain matters. Companies in Tokyo and Osaka are expanding AI applications in robotics, autonomous vehicles, and smart infrastructure. Lower power requirements could help firms like Toyota and Fanuc integrate sophisticated models into production lines without driving up operational costs or straining the national grid, especially as the country works toward its carbon reduction targets.

Local observers see potential advantages for smaller Japanese tech startups too. With energy prices remaining high, efficient AI tools lower barriers to experimentation and deployment. This could accelerate adoption in areas such as elderly care systems and precision agriculture, where reliable performance on modest hardware is essential.

As global competition in semiconductors intensifies, the focus on efficiency also aligns with Japan's push to strengthen its role in the supply chain through partnerships with international chipmakers. The result may be more sustainable innovation tailored to the country's unique needs and constraints.

The mission of Speechify is to make sure that reading is never a barrier to learning.

Over 50 million people use Speechify's text-to-speech products to turn whatever they're reading – PDFs, books, Google Docs, news articles, websites – into audio, so they can read faster, read more, and remember more. Speechify's text-to-speech reading products include its iOS app, Android App, Mac App, Chrome Extension, and Web App. Google recently named Speechify the Chrome Extension of the Year and Apple named Speechify its 2025 Design Award winner for Inclusivity.

These include frontend and backend engineers, AI research scientists, and others from Amazon, Microsoft, and Google, leading PhD programs like Stanford, high growth startups like Stripe, Vercel, Bolt, and many founders of their own companies

    **What You'll Do**
    * Lead the design, architecture, and development of native Windows desktop applications using Windows App SDK, WinUI (or related UI frameworks), C#, XAML, and — when needed — C++.
    * Define and enforce best-practices for Windows desktop development across the codebase: code architecture, performance, memory usage, responsive UI, cross-version compatibility (Windows 10/11+), and maintainability.
    * Drive accessibility efforts: integrate and validate support for accessibility APIs (e.g. Microsoft UI Automation or other relevant Windows accessibility frameworks), ensure UI controls, focus management, keyboard navigation, screen-reader support, and usability for users with disabilities.
    * Collaborate closely with product designers, UX researchers, QA, and other stakeholders to shape feature planning, UI/UX architecture, and long-term roadmap for the Windows platform.
    * Take ownership of full lifecycle of features: conception design implementation testing release maintenance. Ensure quality, reliability, and consistency across releases.
    * Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex bugs, performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, rendering issues, or compatibility problems — and propose robust architectural or design solutions.

    **An ideal candidate should have**
    **Required:**

    * 3+ in Windows desktop application development using Windows App SDK, WinUI (or similar), C#, XAML — and ideally additional experience with native Windows code (C++, Win32/WinRT/COM).
    * Deep understanding of Windows application architecture, including interop between managed code (.NET) and native code.
    * Proven track record of designing, building, and shipping production-quality desktop applications, with an emphasis on reliability, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
    * Strong experience with accessibility APIs on Windows (e.g. Microsoft UI Automation or similar), and a dedication to building accessible and inclusive software.
    * Excellent software engineering fundamentals: OOP, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, memory management, multi-threading or asynchronous programming (where relevant).
    * Experience leading technical design, mentoring other engineers, conducting code reviews, and making architecture-level decisions.
    * Strong communication skills; ability to articulate tradeoffs, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive consensus.
    * A user-centric mindset: focus on building polished, intuitive, and accessible experiences for end users.

    **Preferred / Bonus:**

We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.

Amazon is seeking a self-starter and results-oriented individual to join the AWS Energy team that sits within the AWS Infrastructure Services org in pioneering the future for data center utility power by developing and executing the strategy by which AWS delivers energy projects and partners with electric utilities and energy companies across the Pacific Northwest region of the US. This individual will define the end to end, including generation, transmission, distribution, and backup power strategy, for scaling and operating AWS’ diverse, low-cost energy supply. In this role, you will manage multiple, large-scale (100+ MW) and technically complex power infrastructure projects across multiple geographies by facilitating close collaboration between both internal and external stakeholders.

Within the overarching strategy, this individual must be resilient in exploring and discovering new supply opportunities (that delivery both near term capacity with an accelerated path to net-zero carbon supply), ultimately converting them into tactically sound and executable energy projects while working to reduce energy capital and operating expenses. Internally, responsibilities outside of implementing the defined strategy include reporting status, risks, mitigations and successes to C level and VP level leadership, as well as influencing multiple cross-functional partner teams in the overall data center capacity delivery business process.

Externally, this role takes ownership of managing utility interactions, coordinating efforts between real estate, engineering and planning teams in site evaluation, project engineering, scheduling and budgeting, including influencing and contracting with the utility, EPC and/or Owner’s Engineer to meet AWS’ needs. The individual will work in an integrated team to implement a strategy that meets and exceeds AWS’ energy program requirements while delivering projects on time, with tangible reliability and cost-saving results.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong energy background and a proven track record of developing and delivering on innovative energy projects. Experience working with regulated electric utilities, especially those in WECC and PNW region, to develop, contract and deliver medium and high voltage power infrastructure, including related tariffs and supply agreements, is a must.

In this role, you will negotiate and execute power supply contracts across AWS regions and create innovative supply structures that integrate our renewable energy portfolio and support the growth of clean energy via utility partnerships. The right candidate will have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about the business, operations, and technical challenges, with the skill-set to drive tactical execution of project schedules, contracts, initiatives and team goals. The candidate must have experience in reliably driving initiatives to completion in high speed, constrained and ambiguous environments, with practice in escalating and reporting to many organization leaders and teams across multiple levels. By establishing and growing business and technical relationships, and managing the day-to-day interactions with these partners, you will be responsible for ensuring energy requirements needed to support AWS’s global infrastructure expansion are met.

This role may require some domestic travel (less than 20%).

    Key job responsibilities

    * Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive utilities strategy for AWS data centers for AMER regions.
    * Manage multiple Utilities, EPC and Owner's Engineers to deliver MV and HV power infrastructure, including negotiations and contracting.
    * Develop and execute energy strategies that leverage capital projects (utility grid connections, high voltage substations, energy storage, etc) to reduce long term energy costs. Manage capital budgets for electrical infrastructure and energy projects.
    * Work collaboratively with Amazon CFE/RE team to support the development of strategic energy sourcing opportunities
    * Execute electricity supply contracts that create new clean energy capacity on the grid (through utilities), reduce cost, minimize risk and leverage opportunities that benefit Amazon
    * Manage a portfolio of complex energy projects
    * Collaborate with internal teams and regulated utilities on the implementation and management of energy projects to meet the business timelines.
    * Identify and develop innovative cost savings projects (capital and operational) and initiatives related to energy infrastructure and supply.
    * Responsible for completing due diligence on in-market opportunities and developing those opportunities into cost savings for the business.
    * Work with utility regulators to develop policies and guidelines that enable broader AWS strategies and objectives.
