Kevin Rudd attempts to draft Scott Morrison to help ‘forge relationships’ with Trump admin

US Ambassador Kevin Rudd has attempted to “draft” former prime minister Scott Morrison to help his relationship with Donald Trump’s administration in the United States, Sky News host Sharri Markson revealed.

“I can exclusively reveal Kevin Rudd has tried to draft Scott Morrison in to help forge relationships with the Trump administration,” Ms Markson said.

“In a recognition Rudd will struggle to build bridges with President Trump, he has been cultivating his relationship with Scott Morrison over many months, he even launched his book in the US back in May.”

It comes as pressure mounts on Prime Minister Anthony Albanese over his decision to appoint Mr Rudd to the critical role of ambassador in Washington.
