This position is a multi-faceted role requiring the ability to balance strategy and execution. The Senior Transportation Manager is responsible for all aspects of the operations of the TOM teams within a specific node and may include responsibilities for stand-alone sites as well.     * Responsible for providing strategic level/long-term planning (3, 6, and 12 months out) including labor planning, forecasting, and peak season planning



    * Drives continuous improvement projects to optimize operations and improve productivity to meet and exceed business objectives; works on strategic projects that have total building and network-wide impact. Effectively leverages the Operations and Area Managers to solicit ideas and understand problems and challenges in the building.



    * Networks with other leaders across the network to solicit and share process improvements and drive efficiencies and cost savings.



    * Establishes objectives and metrics for safety, quality, productivity, and customer experience



    * Sets clear goals and expectations for Operations and Area Managers. Measures performance, provides feedback, and holds leaders accountable



    * Mentors and develops leaders and staff

    **BASIC QUALIFICATIONS**

    Use comprehensive knowledge to accurately perform and evaluate highly complex laboratory testing in an efficient manner. Provide technical support and staff work direction for assigned department.     **Required Qualifications:**

    * Minimum of three years progressive, successful experience in clinical laboratory medicine in the assigned discipline required.
    * Bachelor of Science degree OR alternate route of combined education and experience (including grandfathered recognition as regulated by the BOC) required.
    * ASCP or ASHI/ACHI certification within nine months of hire date required.

    Individuals who were certified beginning January 1, 2004 maintaining their certification by participation in the ASCP * -Board of Certification (BOC) Certification Maintenance Program (ASCP)CM required.
    * Effective communication skills, initiative, teamwork, and flexibility required.

    **Preferred Qualifications:**

    * Master's degree in biology, microbiology, virology, molecular biology, or other laboratory related science preferred.
    * Specialty certification by a nationally recognized certifying agency in assigned discipline preferred.
