In this role, you will operate and maintain various precision machining equipment to produce high-quality components. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will be essential to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and safety in all machining processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced tools and contribute to innovative manufacturing projects that demand precision and craftsmanship. **Responsibilities** * Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machining equipment such as CNC lathes and milling machines, including Fanuc controls. * Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to produce precise parts. * Program CNC machines using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and adjust tooling as needed for optimal performance. * Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify part dimensions. * Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols; utilize hand tools, power tools, and tooling effectively. * Perform routine maintenance on machinery and report any malfunctions or repairs needed promptly. * Collaborate with engineering and assembly teams to ensure parts meet quality standards and specifications. **Skills** * Proficiency in CNC programming, including experience with Fanuc controls or similar systems. * Strong understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T principles for accurate manufacturing. * Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of machining processes, tooling selection, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations. * Experience with electrical discharge machining (EDM), plastics injection molding, welding, and assembly is a plus. * Familiarity with SolidWorks or CAD software for part design review and modifications. * Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines confidently. * Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow efficiency. * Ability to operate forklifts and power tools safely; familiarity with safety standards related to manufacturing environments.
