    Key job responsibilities

    As a Senior Applied Scientist in Amazon Ads, you will:

    * Research and implement cutting-edge ML approaches, including applications of generative AI and large language models

Your responsibilities will include working with the internal AWS Sales Teams to identify emerging customer needs and trends, develop winning business strategies, pricing, partner, and proposal strategies. The Strategic Pursuits Manager will work with the AWS field sales and partner teams to close business at a rapid rate across the public sector.



    You should possess prior capture management and/or business development and technology experience supporting innovative technical solutions. The candidate’s background will show a demonstrated ability to think strategically about the full variety of cloud-enabled solutions possible/needed and to build/execute a plan to “identify and match” available solutions to customer needs and wants. Must have solid negotiations skills, ability to navigate complex situations with many dependencies, and ability to work across many stakeholders to “get to yes”.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    * Executes strategies and tactics to deliver a qualified pipeline of opportunities with pursuit/win plans for each.
    * Research and analyze available data to identify cloud related customer cloud solutions needs and buying trends (from a variety of sources to include State Budgets, government trade sources and procurement sites such as Government Navigator and Deltek GovWin).
    * Build and manage a pipeline of multiple Pre-RFP and RFP opportunities and develop/drive the pursuit plan for each.
    * Manage and execute the pursuit plans as well as the proposal response plan (if applicable) while working with key internal stakeholders (e.g. partner teams, sales teams, proposal team, service teams, legal, support, etc.) to position AWS and our partners to win the business.
    * Develop win strategies, cloud friendly procurement approaches, technical discriminators, and innovative strategies working with AWS stakeholders and partners specific to each opportunity.
    * Lead the negotiations of direct contracts to include Enterprise Agreements, BAA, NDAs, etc.
    * Understand and navigate government contracting vehicles and procedures. Be a thought leader with respect to program pursuit, proposal responses, win strategies, technical discriminators, solutions providers and pricing.
    * You must know acquisition policies & procedures and have experience with public sector compliance requirements.
    * Proven experience managing a portfolio of engagements with timelines varying from weeks to multiple years and numerous milestones
    * Up to 30% travel required

This position will actively support outreach efforts by marketing Havenwyck Hospital and Metropolitan Behavioral Health to individuals, families, and community partners. ***Seeking candidates who reside in the Metro Detroit territory*** **Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:*** Effectively demonstrate and implement Sales Excellence and Service Recovery standards. * Acts as liaison between the facility and referral sources and implements service-oriented action plans responsive to referral source needs, serves as a resource and representative to the community and, conducts facility tours to key stakeholders. * Attends and actively participates in the Outpatient team meeting and provides appropriate marketing reports, updates, and Service Recovery opportunities to the Director of Outpatient Services on a timely basis. * Maintains documentation of assigned top accounts, key contacts, planning reports, client profiles, competitive profiles, and updates as required by the Director of Business Development. * Builds and maintains positive and productive relationships with existing referral sources and shows ability to identify additional referral sources. * Effectively maximizes field-based time while maintaining a daily average of 10 individual, face-to-face contacts with assigned referral sources concerning facility programs, philosophies of treatment, and clinical outcomes and satisfaction data. * Provides comprehensive documentation of all marketing contacts daily in Servis.AI * Demonstrates ability to develop and communicate appropriate sales messaging for each program offered and for each target audience. * Demonstrates skills in identifying and building a strategic sales plan for existing and potential referral sources within assigned territory and target markets; effectively incorporates relevant research findings in identifying contacts. * Assesses, develops and implements sales activities, as approved by the Director of Business Development, to achieve maximum market penetration among assigned accounts and to identify potential accounts in targeted market segments. * Maintains current awareness of industry and anticipates changes or trends in target market and utilizes this information in developing and modifying weekly sales action plans, as well as providing recommendations to overall Outpatient planning strategies. * Facilitates positive, timely, and accurate communication. Encourages cooperation and utilizes problem-solving skills to build and secure relationships among the facility, the referral source, the patient, their family and the community. * Completes all required reports and requests for information in a timely manner.
