    * Processes and handles blood and/or other biological specimens according to established procedures. Good understanding of specimen collection and other pre-analytical considerations for quality testing.
    * Performs and results a variety of clinical laboratory tests in the areas of hematology, microbiology, immunology, clinical chemistry, urinalysis and immunohematology. Performs quality control on analytical systems and recognizes systems that are out of control.
    * Understands the theory involved in procedures and troubleshoots when questionable or erratic results occur. Takes proper remedial action in response to test systems being out of control limits. Reports unusual or erratic results to laboratory leadership.
    * Maintains equipment as directed by manufacturers' recommendations, laboratory policy procedure manual and/or laboratory leadership. Operates equipment properly. Thoroughly reads manual before using equipment. Has a clear understanding of the equipment, how it functions, what its limitations are when it is malfunctioning.
    * Participates in the proficiency testing program (as assigned).
    * Researches and sets up new procedures/analytical equipment. Writes, reviews and edits laboratory documents in the document management system.
    * Inventory supplies as directed by lab leadership. Alert to situations or new techniques which will conserve supplies or improve efficiency. Evaluates new products and supplies as directed by lab leadership.
    * As directed by department leadership, provides education and training to new team members, students, and interns. Provides a welcoming environment to learners by practicing open communication, constructive feedback tailored to specific behaviors, goal-setting, and competency evaluation. Assists learner with documentation and competency as required. Prepares lectures and study material for clinical interns as needed.

    This Construction Inspector Trainee position is the entry level for the Engineering Technician class series and is located in Iola, KS. Successful candidates may be appointed at a higher-level dependent upon experience and qualifications. This position allows KDOT to train and develop construction (or technician) staff to complete required responsibilities. The employee performs assignments and gains experience while in a training status.

    **NOTE:** The employee in this position must also maintain Certified Inspection certifications under the KDOT CIT Program as outlined in the Engineering Technician Progression Manual for the specific job path and any additional as outlined by the Senior Manager.

    **Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:**

    * This position will assist in administering construction contracts ensuring work is performed per legal requirements and preferred quality is achieved. This will require performing according to specific instruction and standards.
    * Work involves performing several basic engineering and mathematical procedures which require following instructions and guidelines and providing accurate and complete records of that work.
    * Performs or assists other technicians or engineers in the performance of routine engineering tests in the laboratory or field or inspection on construction projects for compliance with standard practice, specifications, plans, and special provisions. This includes such things as performing or assisting in testing of gradation of aggregates and other standard tests.
    * Operates snowplow trucks (Class B CDL required) to fill-in at various locations, as needed.

    * Valid Driver’s License at time of appointment.

    * A CDL must be obtained within 90 days of hire and maintained. KDOT provides CDL training at no cost to the employee.

    * Serve as a primary instructor and coach for student-athletes, including technical skill development, strategy, and team preparation.

    * Assist in formulating the team's competitive schedule.

Come see why the difference is personal at Aaron's, connect with us today! **What You’ll Do** **Store Operations** * Manage the store to achieve planned growth and profit goals * Accurately report financial measures and transactions * Manage inventory supply to ensure adequate availability of merchandise at all times * Ensure that Quality Control Calls are completed on all new lease agreements within 1 business day of delivery * Ensure the protection of store assets and reconcile inventories weekly * Ensure that all company vehicles are maintained within safe operating standards * Ensure accurate and timely bank deposits * Ensure all returned merchandise is certified, reclassified and priced **Manage Associates** * Recruit, hire, train and develop the best team of associates for your store to ensure efficient and successful operations * Schedule associate coverage to ensure published hours of store operations are met **Customer Care and Service** * Close all lease agreements with a mind towards customer service, establishing a long-term relationship, and safeguarding company assets * Personal responsibility for management of all renewal activity * Personally authorize all returns with a focus on customer relationship and ownership * Ensure execution of all customer service programs, company guidelines and policies **What You’ll Need** * Proven demonstration of strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills * High level of energy * Maintain professional appearance * A history of demonstrated selling skills * Effective organizational skills * Proven managerial skills * Safe driving skills and the ability to legally operate the Company Truck * All General Managers must have a satisfactory MVR (driving record), D.O.T. physical/certification in states that require it, a valid Driver's License and comply with the Aaron's Driver Qualification Policy **Aaron’s Total Rewards** Our team members are our greatest asset.
