Are you passionate about architecture, design, construction, and building relationships that influence major commercial projects? Do you enjoy combining technical expertise with business development and strategic selling?
Awnex is looking for a driven and relationship-focused Sales Engineer – Architectural Development to help expand our presence within the architectural and commercial construction community. In this role, you’ll work directly with architects, designers, contractors, and national brand clients to help bring innovative architectural metal systems and custom structures to life.
This is more than a traditional sales role — it’s an opportunity to become a trusted advisor, influence project designs early in the process, and support exciting prototypes, innovations, and high-profile commercial projects across the country.
**What You’ll Do**
------------------
* Build relationships with architects, design firms, consultants, and commercial construction stakeholders
* Drive specification activity by helping position Awnex products into project plans and designs
* Conduct lunch-and-learn presentations and technical product demonstrations
* Attend industry events and networking functions including AIA, SPARC Summit, ARC Summit, and similar events
* Support prototype development, special projects, and innovation initiatives for national clients
* Review architectural drawings, specifications, and project requirements
* Assist with estimating, take-offs, pricing support, and technical project coordination
* Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Production, and Business Development teams to support successful project execution
* Serve as a technical resource for customers and internal teams throughout the sales process
* 5–7 years of experience in sales engineering, specification sales, architectural systems, commercial construction, or related industry
* Experience working with architectural metal systems, canopies, awnings, façade systems, or similar building products strongly preferred
* Strong understanding of architectural drawings, specifications, and commercial construction processes
* Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to build lasting relationships
* Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office; CRM, CAD, or estimating software experience is a plus
* Willingness to travel for customer meetings, presentations, trade shows, and industry events
