    Carlton Fields is seeking a Paralegal for its Hartford office.



    Duties

    * Prepare and maintain (or oversee maintenance of) case files, indices and chronologies.
    * Assemble and organize requested materials for attorney or client review.
    * Utilize a variety of computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases (such as document review and file management systems), and imaging in discovery and case management.
    * Assist in all aspects of discovery, including but not limited to document production process, including review for production and/or privilege, tagging and redaction, preparing privilege and redaction logs, and assisting with logistics and coordination utilizing document review tools, and quality control of productions.
    * Utilize internet file transfer, document security/encryption, and best practices in client data management.
    * Interact with E-Discovery vendors, vendor management, and quality control.
    * Draft, proof, and submit/file correspondence, memoranda or pleadings.
    * Perform investigative and background research, including witness location, and cases/legal authority gathering.
    * Create and maintain databases of documents and information.
    * Review and analyze documents, data, and depositions as required by team attorneys and/or clients.
    * Assist at and in preparation for depositions of fact and expert witnesses.
    * Coordinate preparation of motions and briefs including formatting, tables of contents and authorities, proofreading, cite-checking (if applicable), assembly of exhibits, filing and service.
    * Assist at and with preparation for trial including but not limited to gathering documents to be used as trial exhibits, preparation of witness binders, deposition designations, review and organization of materials for use by team attorneys, preparation of electronic presentations, and coordination with litigation support personnel.
    * Organize workrooms.
    * Liaise with internal firm departments and outside sources to gather information and data.
    * Provide proactive management of larger cases, including coordination of support efforts and preparing for upcoming events.
    * Additional administrative and other duties as assigned.
    * Annual billable hours are 1500 (excluding overtime from calculations)


    Experience/Education

    * 5+ years of paralegal or other relevant experience.
    * Bachelor’s Degree or paralegal certificate required.


    The salary range for this role in Hartford is $85,000 - $89,000. Actual salaries will vary depending upon various factors, including relevant experience and skillset. The salary range listed is just one component of the Carlton Fields total compensation package for employees. Other monetary rewards include annual discretionary bonuses based on performance and profit-sharing contributions based on eligibility and firm profitability.

    **We are looking for a motivated individual to join our 1st shift manufacturing team in Centerbrook/Essex!** **POSITION SUMMARY:**


    Perform a variety of physical and administrative tasks in a production environment. Compounding blends of various nutritional supplement & other consumable powders. Operate industrial size blenders, mixers, sizing equipment, ovens, scales. Make observations, take samples and complete batch paperwork.


    Training provided for entry level candidates. Learn FDA pharmaceutical cGMP and learn to drive sit down forklift vehicle.

    **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**

    * Load and unload ingredients/product into and out of large blending machines and drums in accordance with directions on Batch Record (BPR). Ingredients most often are powder form contained in 50lb bags. **Frequent maneuvering of 50lb bags with ergonomic assists.**
    * Weigh ingredients on scales; record observations
    * Strictly follow procedures as detailed in BPR and complete necessary paperwork accurately and timely. Paperwork includes, but is not limited to, BPR’s and equipment usage logs.
    * Maintain cleanliness of equipment, drums/containers, rooms and facility to ensure sanitary working conditions in accordance with cGMPs.
    * Take ownership and be accountable for the quality of all work produced.
    * Transport bulk powders and packaging materials between warehouse and production areas; includes operation of forklift and other material handling equipment.

    **POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:**

    * **Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50lbs. on a regular basis**
    * Proven attention to detail and accuracy in tasks
    * Self starter with high level of motivation
    * Ability to read and follow directions, complete paperwork and communicate effectively in English
    * Basic math skills
    * Ability to drive forklift truck (training provided)
    * Demonstrated team player

    **Principal Responsibilities**

    * Conducts and maintains perpetual and annual inventories of supplies and equipment and reviews requisitions for the purchase of supplies and equipment to assure compliance with Housing Corporation purchasing policies and procedures.
    * Prepares rent roll controls on all move-ins, move-outs, rent changes, etc.
    * Counsels tenants delinquent in rent payments and takes appropriate action.
    * Investigates written and/or verbal tenant complaints and resolves them when possible; refers others to Director.
    * Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual HUD reports as applicable and assigned.
    * Refers tenants having social problems to appropriate organizations and/or to the Resident Service Coordinator.
    * Establishes and maintains a good rapport with the public, fellow employees, residents, and other housing authorities; and promulgates and maintains Housing Corporation policies, rules and applicable HUD regulations.
    * Assists in the preparation of the annual budget for the property; prepares daily statement of operations; reviews and monitors all property reports for compliance with operating standards; assures accuracy and timeliness of all reports submitted to the Portfolio Manager and/or his/her supervisor.

Collects rents and other monies due from residents; posts collections to resident account cards, prepares and makes bank deposits, prepares financial reports and reviews same to assure accuracy and completeness prior to submission. * Prepares and monitors daily, weekly, and monthly vacancies and delinquency reports. * Coordinates follow-up and initiation of work orders and requests for maintenance work. * Monitor contractors rendering services on the property. * Inspects all apartments and grounds for maintenance and repair requirements to insure that maintenance personnel and residents are maintaining units and grounds in a decent, safe, and sanitary manner and directs resident and maintenance supervisor in remedying any noted deficiencies. * Responds to emergencies during working and non-working hours. * Receives, prepares, reviews, prioritizes, and assigns maintenance and repair requests and work order schedules. Conducts periodic quality assurance inspections to assure the satisfactory completion of work orders. * Conducts and maintains perpetual and annual inventories of supplies and equipment and reviews requisitions for the purchase of supplies and equipment to assure compliance with Housing Corporation purchasing policies and procedures. * Prepares rent roll controls on all move-ins, move-outs, rent changes, etc. * Counsels tenants delinquent in rent payments and takes appropriate action. * Investigates written and/or verbal tenant complaints and resolves them when possible; refers others to Director. * Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual HUD reports as applicable and assigned. * Refers tenants having social problems to appropriate organizations and/or to the Resident Service Coordinator. * Establishes and maintains a good rapport with the public, fellow employees, residents, and other housing authorities; and promulgates and maintains Housing Corporation policies, rules and applicable HUD regulations. * Assists in the preparation of the annual budget for the property; prepares daily statement of operations; reviews and monitors all property reports for compliance with operating standards; assures accuracy and timeliness of all reports submitted to the Portfolio Manager and/or his/her supervisor. * Submits recommendations to the Director on reasonable accommodation requests, evictions, and transfers of residents. * Works with various governmental agencies, housing authorities, and the public as appropriate. * Perform related duties and responsibilities as required. *All Manchester Housing Corporation job applicants must be prepared to undergo a criminal background check and testing for the use of unlawful drugs prior to and after employment* *The above information on this description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
