    **About the Team:** ZF Gainesville, LLC, located in Gainesville, GA, specializes in producing high-quality axle drives. The Process Quality team at this facility is composed of four dedicated Process Quality Engineers, each responsible for overseeing 1-2 of the seven assembly lines. These engineers report directly to the Plant Quality Engineering Supervisor, ensuring that all processes meet the stringent quality standards expected in the automotive industry. This collaborative and dynamic team plays a crucial role in maintaining the excellence of ZF's products.




    **What you can look forward to as a Plant Quality Engineer:**


    * Perform internal quality investigations on axle drive assembly lines.
    * Plan, test, train, and supervise the implementation of Preventive Quality Assurance in the axle drive assembly lines in order to establish and verify capable and stable production processes.
    * Maintain Quality Data Systems in the single assembly stations as well as in the Central Quality Database.
    * Perform Internal Process Audits in axle drive assembly lines or as required to coordinate product audits in assembly lines (Smart LPA).
    * Manage 8D advanced investigations or similar Corrective Action Process derived from Product- and Process Audits, and from internal and external quality investigations.
    * Performs reviews of customer 0 km & field/warranty returns, determining root cause & recommending corrective actions in a timely manner.
    * Primary lead for customer contact concerning quality topics; this includes completion, submission & approval of customer PPAPs as well as ensuring adherence to customer-specific requirements.

    * BS in Engineering.
    * 2-5+ years of related experience with quality assurance.
    * Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office and other data base tools.

    * Reviews and manages personnel assignments and performance goals of direct reports
    * Assign, Instruct, Train as well Provide direction to Office and Warehouse Personnel as required to ensure proper performance in their roles
    * Reviews the following on a recurring basis: productions reports, employee attendance reports, and other reports and documents related to organizational operation
    * Assists Sales Manager by monitoring project estimates and assist with follow up to close work for the branch as needed
    * Monitors current inventory to insure sufficient quantities are available
    * Monitors and ensures on time delivery and/or job completion
    * Assists in preparation of annual preliminary budget for Branch, monitors compliance to the final approved budget and works to ensure financial expectations of budget are met
    * Reviews budget variances and discrepancies with department managers
    * Works to ensure excellent customer relations, both with internal and external customers
    * Meets and develops relationships with key supplier reps and industry professionals that interact with the Branch
    * Assists with personnel management duties while consulting with corporate Human Resources and District Manager
    * Reviews accounts receivables and assists with collections as necessary

    Minimum Qualifications

    * Bachelor's Degree or equivalent industry experience
    * 5-7 years of experience in distribution management or related type of building/construction materials required
    * Experience in commercial doors, frames, hardware preferred
    * Prior experience interacting with contractors and industry professionals Required
    * Intermediate to advanced level of experience in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook Required

    **KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:**


    **Procurement**


    * Develop bidders list, including ability to analyze information in CPS and be aware of local market capabilities
    * Develop overall bidding strategy for project
    * Manage distribution of bidding documents and tracking of bidders, including solicitation of bidders and management of data within CPS
    * Organize and conduct pre-bid meetings
    * Manage bidder question process
    * Manage development of work scopes and mentor others on their creation
    * Develop front end documents for bidding based on project needs and requirements of owner contract
    * Receive/evaluate bids and conduct post-bid reviews
    * Write subcontracts, both standard subcontract orders and more complex types such as professional services or design-assist





    **Planning**


    * Initiate setup of a complex project schedule and creation of activities and logic, with no/little assistance on durations and schedule flow.
    * Develop site logistics plans in conjunction with superintendent
    * Set up a multi-element cash flow and manpower projection analysis at varying stages of the project
    * Prepare constructability reviews to determine completeness of documents
    * Review estimates prepared by preconstruction group for potential scope holes
    * Initiate set up of jobsite, including mobilization of trailer and setup of jobsite staff





    **Field Operations**


    * Establish and oversee the safety plan at the jobsite; set safety culture at jobsite
    * Ensure punchlist process is completed in a timely manner
    * Assist with management of labor relations with field personnel, including interactions with unions
    * Implement emergency crisis procedures and ensure staff is appropriately trained
    * Manage owner equipment coordination process
    * Facilitate Mechanical/Electrical overhead coordination or BIM process





    **Cost Management**


    * Create and manage general conditions budget. Monitor and update projections monthly
    * Establish non-reimbursables based on interpretation of contract; work to minimize their usage
    * Set up trade budget structure and log into Prolog
    * Review budget entries of others and evaluate reports for accuracy
    * Regularly monitor project costs and effectiveness of change management process
    * Oversee creation of cost items in prolog and issuance to contractors
    * Assist with processing changes to owner agreement
    * Support job-site cash management, including monitoring of job profitability and timeliness of payment





    **Management**


    * Facilitate meetings with the project team
    * Ensure RFIs and submittals are being appropriately processed by the engineering staff
    * Ensure office procedures are implemented, including filing system, correspondence formats, start-up documents, closeout documents, and archiving
    * Manage ultimate agency acceptance of the project, including serving as an interface to code officials
    * Involvement in seeking repeat and new business sales
    * Assist with response to RFPs and preparation of presentations for new projects
    * Manage job relations and communication needs with the Architect/Engineer





    **REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:**


    * Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
    * 6 + years’ experience in GC/CM Construction Management
    * Sports venue construction experience preferred
    * Strong verbal and written communication skills
    * Ability to support projects across the Carolinas and Georgia as needed
